Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Library Performance Series:

Epic Brass - Attleboro Library, Norton Library, Seekonk Library

The MRP was delighted to sponsor the Epic Brass Quintet for a wonderful concert performance of an educational nature featuring the brass family of instruments: trumpet, cornet, french horn, trombone and tuba. The family oriented concert was a hit with young and old alike. Along with playing a variety of songs, the audience was introduced to each instrument via an interesting lecture. You can get more information and a concert schedule by linking to their website. Here are some pictures to document the event.

Conbrio Quintet - Norton Library, Seekonk Library

For the classical minded, The ConBrio Quintet provided a relaxing performance of classical woodwind music and the children’s favorite, “Peter and the Wolf.” The Quintet featured the woodwind family of instruments: oboe, bassoon, clarinet, flute and one brass, a french horn. The family oriented concert was a sophisticated look at this family of instruments, including an educational lecture on each instument. Get more information about the quintet by emailing them at the link above. Here are some pictures from the event.

New England Percussion Ensemble - Norton Library, Attleboro Library/YMCA, Seekonk Library

The MRP was excited to sponsor the unique sounds of the New England Percussion Ensemble. To a crowd of children and adults, the three talented professionals banged, clanged and boomed to their audience’s delight. Audience participation was a big hit, literally. You can get more information and a concert schedule by linking to their website.
